Haute Route Pyrenees (HRP) - Gear List

masonbee Pyrenees

Well, this should be interesting. Tomorrow, we set off to do a little part of the HRP. More of a section hike really. We are starting at Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and ending at Lourdes. About 12 days worth of walking. It is going to be interesting because, I haven't done anything for a while and my wife is four months pregnant so it is entirely possible that we will end up doing one of the easier routes like the GR10 instead (for my benefit).

Gear list

As the longest walk I have done is the Te Araroa I tend to base my gear on that. It should also be noted that some gear I don't have to take as I am not doing the entire HRP. So no crampons and ice axes.
